Her designs have gained her many accolades for her designs throughout her career and was recently announced as a ‘Walpole Brand of Tomorrow’ and shortlisted for ‘Jewellery Designer of the Year’ at the UK Jewellery Awards, awarded ‘Hot 100 Trendsetter- 2012’ by Professional Jeweller Magazine and also ‘Catwalk Jewellery Designer of The Year 2012’ at the annual UK Jewellery awards event in London. The judges commented: “The work from contemporary jewellery designer Rachel Galley is at the cutting edge of fashion while also being fun to wear. The judges were astonished by Galley’s aptitude for creating stunning items that would turn heads on the catwalk and also translate flawlessly into a commercial line.” Using predominantly her signature lattice work Rachel’s designs are contemporary but timeless elegance and understated sophistication. Her clever latticework allows the jewellery to reflect the light and sparkle as if set with diamonds. Retail price points are from £59 up to £1,800 in silver, gold and rose gold plated and black PVD plating. Collaborations also featuring within the brand, such as the ‘Venom’ collection collaboration with Meg Matthews of MM Design, have taken Rachel’s designs to another level and to another audience. She has also collaborated with Royal Milliner Philip Treacy on a shoot for the Princes Trust Charity. Rachel’s main aim is to design beautiful timeless pieces of jewellery, but making sure each piece from the smallest earrings to the largest cuff has that essential ‘wow’ factor.
