We are the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ), the largest watch and jewellery buying group in the UK and Ireland. Founded in 1980, our group comprises some of the best independent retail jewellers and leading suppliers of jewellery, watches and retail solutions. Our buying power ensures that independent retailers benefit from market-leading terms, greater levels of product availability, access to limited stock and exclusive product lines and deals.

Our members have exclusive access to top retail solutions, industry insight and financial benefits. We reduce the effort they have to go to by researching the best brands and products – as well as critical service and operational providers such as insurance and security – on their behalf. We also save them time and hassle by providing one single point of invoicing and payment every month.

We champion each and every one of our members, who know they can contact us at any time with any queries or for advice. We also work closely with the jewellery industry and the wider retail trade, working collaboratively to save our high streets and protect independent retailers.

As a retailer member of the Company of Master Jewellers, you maintain 100% of your independence. You can choose how much or how little of our support and suppliers you want to use.

We are the first affiliated sponsor of SaferGems and also work closely in partnership with leading jewellery industry associations, such as the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) and the Natural Diamond Council, as well as wider retail initiatives such as Save the High Street. We have close links with jewellery specialist trade press including Retail Jeweller and Professional Jeweller magazines.

We are a keen supporter of initiatives that celebrate independent retail jewellers. .

Experienced members of our team have also had the honour of being invited to be part of the judging panel for the UK Jewellery Awards, which is dubbed “the Oscars of the jewellery industry”. In 2025, our Head of Marketing, Frances Hopes, has once again been invited to be a judge.
