The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) and the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) have boosted cooperation, launching a joint task force aimed at increasing mutual sales and membership services.
As part of the enhanced collaboration, NAJβs Jewellery, Education and Training (JET) qualifications will be promoted by CMJ, the UKβs largest jewellery buying group, to its members. CMJ members can now benefit from a reduced fee for JET qualifications, including the popular Jewellers Certificate and Diploma, as well as the more specialist Business Development and Management Diplomas.
A new incoming JET essentials training programme is also eligible for CMJ discount, of which companies can apply to the Benevolent Society for full or part funding for their employees.
βCMJ and NAJ both want the industry to sell more jewellery and watches,β CMJ Consultant and interim business leader Helen Dimmick said. βWe will promote our mutual sales and services by focusing our joint resources on providing industry solutions,β she added. βThe CMJ, which aims to βLead, Engage, Enhance,β and NAJ will actively promote each otherβs businesses.β

The enhanced partnership takes effect immediately with NAJ strengthening its presence at the CMJ Autumn event on August 4-5 at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, and growing its attendance at the CMJβs regional meetings scheduled this year.
