CMJ member Wongs Jewellers has announced it will be opening a new store at Manchester Arndale later this summer.
Founded in Liverpool in 1979, Wongs has built its reputation on exceptional craftsmanship, exquisite engagement rings, bespoke jewellery, and a customer experience that truly sets it apart. Known as where Liverpool gets engaged, Wongs is now bringing that same magic to Manchester.
Located in a 1,935 sqft unit within Manchester Arndale, the new store will offer everything customers love about Wongs and more. From a dedicated jewellery bar to a unique workshop window giving customers a behind-the-scenes view of the goldsmiths in action, the space has been designed to make every visit feel truly special.
Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said: “Wongs Jewellers is a fantastic addition to Manchester Arndale, aligning perfectly with our strategy to curate a diverse and premium retail mix. Its reputation for craftsmanship and customer service will resonate strongly with our shoppers, and we’re delighted to support another independent brand as it grows its presence in the heart of the city.”
Wongs Managing Director Peter Wong said: “This is such a proud moment for our family. After so many years building the Wongs name in Liverpool, it’s incredibly exciting to be expanding into Manchester. This store is the next chapter in our story, and we can’t wait to share everything we love about Wongs with a whole new community. It means the world to us to be part of so many people’s most important moments.”
Wongs Commercial Director Cynthia Cartwright added: “This new store is such a special milestone for us. We’ve poured so much love into creating an experience that feels truly unique – somewhere people can come to mark life’s biggest moments and feel completely looked after. We’re proud of the five-star reputation we’ve built in Liverpool, and we’re so excited to now bring that Wongs magic to Manchester.”
Wongs has recently won a Great Place to Work Award for the second consecutive year. The new Manchester store is set to open in late summer 2025.
