Bass Premier and International Diamond Jewellery Co. (IDJC) are well-established diamond suppliers in the jewellery industry. We talk to Dovi Vogel, operations manager, to find out what they have planned for the next 12 months.

1. Can you give a brief background to Bass Premier and IDJC? 

Bass Premier started trading gemstones over 45 years ago and currently trades in loose non-certified and certified diamonds.

IDJC, part of Bass Premier Group, has been trading for over 25 years and sells diamond and gemstone jewellery ranging from £100 all the way to £250,000.

2. What do you believe sets you apart from your competitors?

We believe what sets us apart from our competitors is our ability to cater to any enquiry due to our very large stock. We are one of Europe’s largest stockists of loose diamonds with over 10,000 stones in stock at any one time and we also stock over 5,000 pieces of jewellery at any one time. We have offices in Mumbai and Hong Kong, which helps strengthen our position in the market.

3. What are your best-selling products/collections with independent retailers?

We sell everything from diamond and gemstone rings, earrings, pendants and necklets. Our best collection is our Flexi-Link diamond bracelets.

4. You have been working on a new website. What will this offer to your customers and when will it launch?

Yes, our new website will be live soon. It will showcase our extensive stock with pictures and videos giving our customers direct and clear access to our stock at any time.

We have worked hard on the back end data and the new website will be extremely easy to navigate, find what you are looking for and order.

We will also make our website a white label site allowing customers to have their logos and mark ups to show their customers. This will greatly help the sales process and provide them access to more options.

5. What fine jewellery trends do you see on the horizon?

Over the last year, we have seen an increase in fancy shape bracelets and gemstone rings. We see this continuing in the future.

6. What sorts of retailer partners are you looking to work with?

We work closely with retailers up and down the country and are always eager for more business. We have a great team that has years of experience and provides great customer service.

7. What do you have planned for the next 12 months?

We plan to launch our new wholesale website and will be looking to add new and trendy lines to our collection.
