Hockley Mint welcomes Kevan Jenkinson as Sales Director

British casting specialist and fine jewellery manufacturer, Hockley Mint, has announced the appointment of experienced trade professional, Kevan Jenkinson, as its new Sales Director, starting immediately.

In his role, Jenkinson will support the existing Hockley Mint sales team both nationally and internationally focusing on key accounts and enhancing best practice across the business.

Drawing on his prior experience of growing brands both B2B and B2C, Jenkinson will work to create new sales strategies for the Hockley Mint and Merrell Casting teams, which offer a full spectrum of services from finished jewellery collections, mounts and bespoke pieces to casting, rapid prototyping and CAD design. He will also assist Hockley Mint Managing Director, Gary Wroe, and provide useful insights across a range of disciplines, including retail sales, staff training, marketing and brand strategy.

Jenkinson has previously spent 14 years working for the successful Welsh jewellery brand, Clogau. During his tenure as Sales and Operations Manager, he saw the business grow from a small brand into a recognisable name on the British High Street.

He says: “I was looking for a new challenge, so when this role at Hockley Mint was presented to me, I believed it was a fantastic opportunity. This role will allow me to draw on my knowledge and experience to support the existing Sales Team and to re-evaluate sales strategies for both Hockley Mint and the Merrell Casting side of the business. My short-term goals will be to focus on best practice techniques and work with Hockley Mint’s customers and retail partners in this crucial time post-lockdown.”

Hockley Mint Managing Director, Gary Wroe, adds: “We are thrilled to welcome Kevan to the Hockley Mint team and I have no doubt his tremendous experience across Sales and Operations will be an asset to not only our Sales Team, but our business as a whole. As retail begins to reopen and with an end to social distancing restrictions on the horizon, now is the ideal time to take stock and look to the future.”

Jenkinson will commence his role at Hockley Mint on Monday, March 29, and will be based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, as well as working from his home Office in Essex and on-the-road.

He is contactable via email kevan.jenkinson@hockleymint.co.uk or telephone 07761 746917.
