Pursuit Commits to Getting Retailers Ready for Online Christmas Trading as Further Covid Restrictions Begin

Software solutions specialist wants to spare retailers another six months of stress by getting their ecommerce business live in time for Christmas.

Leading EPoS software and solutions specialist, Pursuit, is dedicating the month of October to independent retailers whose lack of online presence is creating cause for concern in the wake of new Covid-19 restrictions.

Following the Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s announcement of his ‘Winter Economy Plan’, which acknowledges six months of new restrictions, it is now expected that the vast majority of Christmas trading will be done online. This means retailers without a transactional website or with an outdated ecommerce offering will need to work differently and innovate if they want to maintain business growth and compete during the festive period.

Throughout October, Pursuit is dedicating time and resources to getting concerned independent jewellery retailers online with a cost-effective transactional website, synced to their stock control and point of sale systems.

Pursuit managing director, Mike Burns, says: “As a team we are committing our time and energy to helping independent retailers get online and stay afloat over the next six months. There’s no time to waste, and in some cases, we can get businesses online in a matter of weeks, not months. Thanks to the way we have designed our latest software, Pursuit Sonic, prices are low and will stay low. There’s no catch. We are here to help.”

By choosing a transactional website with Pursuit Sonic, retailers can get online quickly and customise their online presence with their own logos, colour schemes and text. Websites are built using the latest ecommerce software and support a range of payment methods for both national and international customers. This can all be integrated with a physical store’s stock control and EPoS functions, as well as with suppliers using Sonic to upload their latest product ranges.

The month of October is considered the last possible ‘deadline’ for retailers who want to ensure they are online ahead of Christmas. By putting in the hard work now, retailers can also benefit from click and collect functionality during the festive period and enjoy the increased footfall that this purchasing method brings.

Burns continues: “With the continuing impact of Covid-19, now is the ideal time to review costs and make proactive business decisions that save you money. Staff returning from furlough are ideally placed to investigate the software solutions available and make positive contributions towards your business’ digital future.

“Pursuit Sonic costs less than £80 per month, including stock control and EPoS functionality, and can be integrated with a transactional website to ensure both your bricks-and-mortar and online business ‘speak’ to each other.”

Unveiled in July 2020, Pursuit Sonic is a cloud-based software solution that redefines the relationship between independent retailers and suppliers. The comprehensive solution offers stock control, product repair management, Chip and Pin, website functionality, advertising opportunities and data warehousing, in addition to a dedicated Supplier Link and a Marketplace platform and app for B2B stock trading. Pricing of the software has been carefully considered to significantly reduce retailer overheads and provide suppliers with a cost-effective method of trading in a digital-only environment.
