Forum Jewellers raises charity funds with online auction

Independent retailer Forum Jewellers has boosted the funds of its Charity of the Year by Β£2,560 by holding a virtual charity raffle.

Forum Jewellers in Broadstone, Dorset, was raising money for SPRING charity. For the virtual raffle, the store offered more than 50 prizes, donated by brands and suppliers. The top prize was a diamond and sapphire necklace worth Β£1,000. Tickets were sold online via Forum’s website and in store, with the raffle draw broadcast live on Facebook.

Forum’s director Helen Molloy was overwhelmed by the response: β€œWe were unable to host our usual events this year because of the restrictions so decided to hold an online raffle instead. Our customers and Facebook followers are incredible and we were truly astounded by the amount we raised for SPRING. We couldn’t have done it without the extraordinary generosity of our amazing suppliers.”

SPRING supports parents and relatives through baby loss – at any stage of pregnancy, at or just after birth – whatever the circumstances and however long ago.  Emma Lynch, SPRING chairperson, said: β€œEveryone at SPRING would sincerely like to thank Helen and the Forum Jewellers team for organising the raffle and sourcing the prizes. We would also like to thank all of their suppliers for their overwhelming generosity and of course all of the people that bought tickets. We are totally blown away with the amount raised and can’t thank everyone involved enough.”
