Jewellery designer, Claudia Bradbyβs mantra is that βevery woman should be afforded the luxury of wearing beautiful pearl jewellery every day, in every wayβ and this was the inspiration behind a Pearls & Prosecco event hosted by Dorset-based Forum Jewellers.
Claudia started by creating simple pieces for friends, stringing pearls on to knotted leather. But as her enthusiasm and the popularity of the designs grew, it evolved gradually into a complete collection of contemporary jewellery designed to bring a little style and joy to every possible occasion.
Forum Jewellers organised the Pearls & Prosecco evening where 81 guests heard Claudia tell her personal story of how the brand started and why she considers that pearls are the most powerful of all gemstones.
As well as learning about why pearls matter and some of the iconic women who have worn them, guests heard how Claudia designs her range and how pearls are cultivated and valued. A raffle with the top prize of a Claudia Bradby pearl pendant in aid of Forumβs chosen charity for 2019, Forest Holme Hospice, raised the magnificent amount of Β£330.
Claudia thoroughly enjoyed the event, commenting: βThank you to Helen and her team for organising the most amazing evening. It was really lovely to meet so many people who were so strongly attached to Forum Jewellers and there was a great community spirit. They understood so much about pearls and were interested and engaged in my talk. The evening was a fabulous success!β
Helen Molloy, Forumβs Director, explains: βWe are always looking to do something a little different for our customers and were delighted that Claudia was able to join us for this really special evening. We love her designs and passion for pearls. Our guests really enjoyed trying on pieces from Claudiaβs exclusive collections, and sales on the evening far exceeded our expectations, as did the raffle sum for Forest Holme.β
