Gecko promotes Ruth Johnson to the role of General Manager

 

Jewellery supplier Gecko has announced changes to its Gecko leadership team, with current Head of Sales and Operations, Ruth Johnson promoted to the role of General Manager for the leading fine fashion jewellery wholesaler.

Ruth has worked at Gecko for more than 14 years, joining the team in 2003 as Customer Services Manager. She was then promoted to Operations Manager in less than three years before taking on the Head of Sales and Operations role in 2016.

Commenting on the promotion, Managing Director Andrew Morton, said: Ruth is a proactive and considered leader. I’m really pleased to be able to recognise her talent and commitment with this promotion. Ruth has absolutely earned this progression and the Gecko business is made stronger with this significant change. Ruth can now lead, develop and grow Gecko, in line with our over-arching Group strategy and vision. With the added responsibility, also comes the freedom to grow the business further.
