The campaign supporting and shining a light on small businesses in the UK has announced the date for this year’s Small Business Saturday as the 1 December!
Small Business Saturday 2017 was the most successful campaign so far and an estimated £748 million was spent on the day! #SmallBizSatUK also trended at number one in the UK on Twitter and backing from local authorities rose from 80% in 2016 to 87% in 2017, leading to more events and free parking.
There’s plenty of ways to get involved with the campaign and promote your small business; if you head to smallbusinesssaturdayuk.com you can register and advertise your store on the Small Business Finder for free, as well as taking part in their programme of free talks and workshops. The campaign also runs a bus tour which travels across the UK bringing along activities, workshops and promotion for local businesses.
Applications to take part in the campaign’s ‘Small Biz 100’ which showcases 100 small business, one a day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday 2-18, will open in June, 2018.
