CMJ opened the doors to its Spring Trade Event on Sunday 4 March, despite freezing weather conditions over many parts of the country. Events were commenced with supplier and member meetings hosted by the Senior Team; Terry Boot CEO and Michael Aldridge, new supplier director Barrie Dobson and Lucy Reece-Raybould executive director of business development. A special thanks and acknowledgement was made to the CMJ Approved Suppliers who battled the elements to come and set up their stands. And of course the Retail Members who made it!
Both Michael and Terry reiterated the importance of focusing on the core original values of the CMJ as a buying group and going back to basics, but doing it really well. Terry stressed the importance and value of networking and creating events and opportunities for members, suppliers and service providers to come together and share ideas and solutions.
Barrie Dobson was welcomed by both suppliers and members and he assured the suppliers that he was proud to be representing them and would be open and available for their comments and feedback. All parties observed that at the recent board meeting there was a real feeling of positivity and that they are all looking optimistically towards the future.
