The Liverpool based Jewellers has confirmed that their second annual Winter Ball has raised an amazing £44,288 for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
The sold out event, which was held at The Venue, inside the iconic Royal Liver Building and sponsored by luxury brand Carat*, was attended by 200 guests for a night of dining and entertainment.
There were also plenty of special guests in attendance including Olympian Beth Tweddle, Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh, Radio City’s Simon Ross and models Amanda Harrington and Jade Ainsworth.
Wongs also held a live auction and raffle on the night to raise extra money for the children’s hospital.
Peter Wong, the Managing Director of Wongs Jewellers, commented: “The second annual ball has been an incredible success and we have once again raised an amazing amount of money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
“The service the charity and the hospital provide is much needed and it’s heart-breaking but also uplifting to hear some of the stories about what they do.
“On behalf of Wongs, I would like to thank everybody who came to The Venue for the ball and donated to the charity. We are planning a huge third event for 2018 and already looking forward to next Christmas.”
Clare White, Chief Executive of Alder Hey Children’s Charity, said: “For the second year running Wongs Jewellers have organised the most spectacular event to support Alder Hey.
“The team worked tirelessly during the evening to fundraise as well as ensuring the guests had a fantastic time.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support from the team and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made the event such a success.
“The money raised will support the development of our new research facility at Alder Hey, helping us to continue to make advancements in children’s healthcare for future generations, so the support from Wongs Jewellers is invaluable.”
