CMJ are proud to partner with Retail Jeweller on what is a really worthwhile annual celebration of independent jewellers. Last year’s event was a fantastic recognition of a huge variety of independents who are an inspirational driving force in the industry.

It’s a great opportunity to put your jewellery business on the map or nominate businesses who are really making an impact, that are driving forward with marketing and sales and who are carving out a place for themselves.

The CMJ holds these awards close to their hearts and urges members and suppliers to nominate your top 5 independent jewellers who are really inspiring! The first round of voting opens from now until July 14th and only takes a couple of minutes to do via Retail Jeweller’s online form, which can be accessed here.

Following the initial round of voting, the 100 retailers with the most votes will be presented to a panel of experts comprising of representatives from the industry’s leading suppliers. The panel will then review the list to ensure that it is a fair representation of businesses from across the industry that are all worthy of a place.

The panel will also be asked to cast their votes for the top two independents in each of the following regions:

- Scotland and Ireland

- The North

- The Midlands

- The South

- The Southwest and Wales

The panel will also be asked to select from the list the best overall retailer in each of the following categories:

- Branded retailer

- Boutique/Designer retailer

- Business owner

Highly commended awards will be given to a retailer from each region, with the overall retailer who has the most votes across all five regions being crowned the most Inspiring Independent.

The results will be revealed at a dedicated lunchtime awards ceremony on Friday, October 20 at the Grange Holborn Hotel in London.
